Recipes
I like to pretend I’m Betty Crocker. I’m working on my cooking skills. Mamma Diaz never even taught me how to boil water. I think it’s because she hates cooking (even though she is so good at it). Anyways this page is going to be my attempts to make something edible. Although I have mastered the basic baking skills and have had some pretty good luck. I love to experiment with new recipes and usually never bake the same thing twice. So you are going to see a lot of baking on here but my goal is to really learn how to cook regular meals.
Cookie Cake!
This is an easy one I can barely call a recipe. Basically either select you favorite cookie recipe, I recommend chocolate chip to stay in traditional cookie cake fashion, or as I did keep it simple! I bought a roll of Nestle’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
Step 1: Grease a pizza pan with Non stick cooking spray.
Step 2: Spread the dough into one big circle/giant cookie. Putting some flour on your hands mike make this a little easier.
Step 3: Pop it in the oven for the minimum bake time. Make sure to keep an eye on the browning cookie cakes are much better on the soft side as opposed to the crispy kind.
Step 4: Frost away! I used this
The one I bought was called Cupcake frosting but it’s the same thing. It comes with nozzles to do some different shapes. I used the star shaped for the border and to put the candles on. Keep in mind you need some frosting to hold up the candles. I also sprinkled the cake with rainbow sprinkles. I also recomend curling pieces of colored ribbon and throwing that on top for some extra fun.
