Weight Loss
So I’m changing this page a bit since it needed to be updated. I have been dieting and struggling with weight since probably middle school. It’s sad how much time we all waste stressing about dieting. I go up and down and up and down. Well now I’m back in the up. I let work stress grab a hold of me and take over and let all my healthy habits fly out the window. So It was time to get back to my healthy ways. I started Nutrisystem again which I was sucessful with earlier this year in January. Unfortunatley I gained all the weight back and more. I’m trying not to stress about it though. It will come off it always does right?
You constantly read the statistics lately about the ridiculous number of girls with some sort of eating disorder. I myself struggle with binge eating on a daily basis. It will be a struggle for some time. I have it for the most part under control and the idea of binging usually only pops up in a moment of stress which I have tried to put aside. My goal is to lose these stubborn 20lbs and be comfortable with myself again and healthy. My main goal is to really just develop a healthy relationship with food. For conveniance purposes I chose Nutrisystem and thought it would give me a head start. My roomie is doing it with me! For the first time EVER I have a diet buddy which I think will really help.
This is me at my first Elon U Homecoming as an alumni and at my heaviest. So around September 2005. All that beer drinking and late night eating caught up with me. (I’m the 2nd from the left in the tan dress).
So UPDATE!! Its 11/21 and I’ve lost 5 lbs since I started on 10/16.
Here are my goals:
Christmas: 139 ish
Valentine’s Day: 130 goal!
I think those are pretty realistic goals considering the holidays are coming up, comes out to around a pound a week. I’m not stressing over my diet at ALL. I don’t eat 100% all of the time and I do share the occasional drink with friends and I’m fine with that. I’m also not binging at all this time! That is my main goal to get my disordered eating under control. Not stressing is the key for me!
I know people give themselves mini goals and prizes. I was thinking the following:
5lbs: manicure—-> reached goal on 11/21! I’m now at 144
10lbs: new scarf! (the only thing I love about winter is scarves!)
15lbs: new pair of shoes! Maybe boots or pumps!
20lbs: new outfit from Jcrew! (duh because nothing will fit anymore haha)
I’ll put up pics as I reach my mini goals too!
I’ll post a pic this weekend although of course you can’t really tell with 5lbs haha
